Launching Adopted Clothing has been one of the biggest steps of my life. It required me to put myself out there in a way I never had before, and that vulnerability was uncomfortable. I had never done anything like this, and stepping into the unknown brought a lot of fear with it.

But despite that fear, I know this calling did not come from me.

God placed this calling into my life, and I trust that He will give me what I need and guide me—whether that leads to success or failure—so that I can do exactly what He needs me to do.

Throughout Scripture, God consistently calls people who feel unqualified. Moses is one of the clearest examples. In Exodus 4, Moses was called to deliver Israel out of slavery, yet he doubted himself deeply. He didn’t believe he was capable and blamed his lack of eloquence in speech as the reason he could not fulfill what God was asking of him.

The Lord’s response to Moses was direct and powerful:

Exodus 4:11–12  “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.”

God doesn’t just call us—He equips us.

Recently, things have felt slow with Adopted. I’ve been struggling with marketing, and the sales have not been coming in. Discouragement has set in, and I’ve found myself calling out to God, wondering what my point was and questioning whether I was doing enough—or even doing the right thing at all.

Last week, I was listening to a Joyce Meyer podcast, and her words have stayed with me and kept me going when things have felt tough. She said:

“The only way you will fail is if you quit.”

That reminder has encouraged me to keep moving forward, even when progress feels slow.

God spoke to me during one of those discouraged moments. He reminded me not to focus on sales figures or profits, but to focus on the purpose. To focus on the calling. To focus on the Great Commission found in Mark 16:15-16 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

This calling isn’t about numbers.

It isn’t about profit.

It’s about obedience.

And I’m choosing to walk forward—called, equipped, and trusting.
